The rapid development of computer, network, communication and control technology drives the rapid development of train communication technology. IECConstituted standard IEC 61375-1 Train Communication Network standard namely TCN standard which would be used to standardize data communication of equipments in the train with UIC in 1999. TCN divides train communication network into Wire Train Bus(WTB) which is used to connect every vehicle which can organize into groups optionally when all vehicles are working and Multifunction Vehicle Bus(MVB) which is used to connect fixed equipments in vehicle. These days more and more train vehicle manufacture factories adopt TCN standard.Because there are many differences in the structure and performance of TCN vehicles and TCN equipments of different countries or different factories, when these vehicles or equipments need connect with each other to communicate in normal operation, the compatibility of connecting with each other in vehicle class and in equipment class is needed to be fulfilled. Conformance testing validates if every TCN equipment and every vehicle with TCN equipment have interoperability with the same other equipment and vehicle. So, conformance testing is divided into two different classes: vehicle class test namely conformance testing of WTB and equipment class test namely conformance testing of MVB. Conformance testing provides the means to assure the interoperability between different TCN equipments and between different vehicles with these equipments. It is very necessary and meaningful that the standard of conformance testing need bring forward a material implementary project and test items, content and test environment for standard in order to standardize bus devices of every corporation to reach the aim of interoperability.This paper mainly study conformance testing of WTB, combined the project of railway department of our country "study of WTB and MVB conformance testing" on the base of the anatomy of TCN standard and conformance test theory. In this paper, the framework of WTB is analyzed in detail. Actually, it is very important to a tester and programmer who would like to do the research on WTB Conformance Testing. In order to reach this aim, the TCN protocol carefully is started, including IEC61375-1 and IEC61375-2. After study, 18 items is summed up. In every item, every testing step must follow the protocol. In this paper, every step is described in detail. To get the validation and practicability, only in the theory for the testing is not enough. The theory must be combined with real test. So, a device is constructed in laboratory condition which can execute conformance testing for WTB devices and provide the software and hardware bed for this device. In order to make it easy to operate, we design and compile a set of software which can help tester operate it more easily and quickly. In this software, upper block sends message to lower block by RS232, and get the testing result from low block after testing. In the software, MVC (Model-View-Controller) framework is used, which is used very common on internet. Its advantage is separating the UI (user interface) code and function code. It is very important for code service and upgrade. It could be quickly to change to another program when model is changed, such as MVB Test. The main idea of test is like this.The main content of this paper is divided into the following several parts:1) Study background of the problem, TCN standard and the application and development of TCN at home and abroad.2) TCN framework is simply introduced, and lucubrate WTB framework.3) Base concepts, conformance testing of TCN, and development of conformance testing of TCN at home and abroad.4) Explain contents and items of conformance testing of WTB in detail; explain the software and hardware of conformance test bed of WTB link layer data communication constructed in laboratory, test step of conformance test of WTB, provide the coverage of test.5) Conclusion and advices. The WTB conformance test bed which is constructed at present can complete the conformance test of WTB data-link data function. The designed test node of WTB data-link data function can realize the conformance test of WTB devices. The requirements of the paper are reached.
