As the rapid growth of photovoltaic industry, the need of solar cell performance tester becomes exigent. The solar simulator's technical specifications have extremely important effect on solar cells testing, in which the spectral mismatch is always the issue on the solar cells testing. On the support of'Shanghai science committee key science and technology research project (05DZ0312)', the spectrum of solar simulator will be calibrated by designing the film filter on the spectral mismatch.The basic principle of gas electric discharge lamp will be introduced in chapter two. The optical film theory and layer design method will also be introduced in chapter three. In chapter four, film layer theory design of filter, the choice of film material, the theory and practical measured result analysis of film and the practice trial-manufacture will be particular expatiated. In the end, the spectrum of solar simulator accords with the class A standard. Considering the practical planting and the cost of batch producing, the substrate is designed over again and the substrate of column pipe is instead of ling-eight pipe. Good theory result and practical result are obtained. Study the effects of spectral mismatch on solar cell performance is introduced in chapter five. The solar cell I - V explicit function relation was presented by introducing W function, based on the single exponential solar cell mode. The effects of the diversity of different lamp spectrum on fill factor were analyzed and it is transformed as light intensity on fill factor. The effects of the solar cell's parameters on fill factor were computed and analyzed by the explicit function relation and the measured result is well explanation.
