In virtue of the advantages of FRP composites (fiber-reinforced plastic/polymer composites), light-weight, high-strength, nice environmental and fatigue resistibility, it has been broadly used in structural strengthening in many countries. The bond behavior between FRP and concrete is the precondition of the load transfer and working together. And it is also an important research topic of the concrete structure strengthened with externally bonded FRPs and near-surface mounted (NSM) FRPs.In this paper, at first, the effect of the supported height, bond length, modulus of FRP and epoxy, width of groove and grade of concrete on the bond behavior between FRP and concrete are got base on a elastic finite element analysis on the NSM single shear model; and then the bond behavior and ultimate strength are discussed by nonlinear finite element analysis on the same kind of model; at last, on a nonlinear finite element analysis on externally bonded FRP single shear model with a large plate to concrete width ratio, the effect of the limit strength of the failure model of tension-shear are explored.Following conclusions are drawn from this study: (1)bond behavior of the NSM model are better than that of the externally bonded model; (2)bond behavior of the NSM model are affected by the stiffness of FRP,epoxy and concrete; (3)the limit strength of the NSM model get larger as the bond length increases; (4)the formula for the tension-shear failure of the externally bonded model is got.
