| Chongqing Chaotianmen Yangtse River Bridge, the gate of Chongqing, locates in the Central Business District (CBD) of Chongqing. It is the key project of west-to-east mainline through Chongqing City. The bridge, a steel truss arch bridge, is 932m long with a main span of 552m. There is no skilled experience on the research of seismic performance of this type bridge, hence it is very significant to make the similitude model of Chaotianmen Yangtze river bridge.In this paper, the finite element model of the Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge is built by applying software ANSYS, and the theoretical modal parameters are obtained by studying the eigenvalue. With the goal of evaluating its strength and stiffness, a 3-D time history analysis for the earthquake response of the bridge has been investigated. Based on the simulation analysis, a 1/50 scale similitude model of Chaotianmen Yangtze River Bridge have been made. Then white noise random exitation test and earthquake simulation test has been done. In the white noise random exitation test, the modal parameters (natural frequency, vibration mode and damping) have been attained; seismic performance of the bridge has been attained from the earthquake simulation test, meanwhile the theoretical results been verified.Conclusions and seismic performance of the bridge are attained by comparing the bridge theoretical results with the test results calculated by the similarity theory.The thesis is a part of the project'Model Test of Chongqing Chaotianmen Yangtse River Bridge'. |
