In the design of hydraulic engineering, the pattern of reservoir outlet and the characteristics of the flow with water and sand before the dam is related to if the leak water building can go round normally , even the vital of the whole engineering building. In the large and medium-sized hydraulic engineering, during the last stage of the reservoir's deposit, most of the silt are carried by the water to the before of the dam, and go out of the reservoir through all kinds of the engineering of the leak water. At this time, most of the silt go through the water abrasion, and bring about the abrasion of the water abrasion. So, the design of some large-scaled hydropower station which suffered threat from silt, all advance the issue of how to locate the outlet reasonably, and if want to answer this question and make clear the effect of the outlet in silt defeat, should make sure the complexity water current structure and the influence of to the water current structure caused by different patterns of outlet. The main results can be summarized though the text as follows:(1) In the experiment we gain a lot of current velocity data which are measured by Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter , these data are form the flow field before the dam;(2) According to the analysis of the current velocity data, plane and section diagrams of the floe field before the dam are drawed, including the distribution chart of current velocity in three-dimensions and some statistics regularities;(3) Adopting the software Tecplot drawed the isogram chart of the valueβwhich is the specific value of the Va ppulse and u c, in this chat can see the distribution of the velocity visually and iconically;(4) According to the analysis of the current velocity data, gain the formula of the velocity with witch we can estimate the value of the velocity in any special position under all kinds of items, this formula has some reference value in actual engineering, and provide the reference in how to select the best scheme of the position of the engineering building;(5) In the text, the distribution of the current velocity along the perpendicular also be drawed ,and also gained some regularities;(6) According to the experiment of silt, gain the range and the figuration of the scouring funnel, the result of the computation are in good agreement with the actual situation, and this proved the reliability of the current velocity data measured by Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter in the experiment.
