Cable vibration control is to take some measures to change the structure of cable characteristics,dynamic characteristics of the form or cables to prevent the occurrence of harmful vibration. This paper first describes the cable vibration incident occurred in recent years and the harm caused by these events, and then discusses the cable vibration of the dangers and the importance of vibration control cables. It also reviewed the cable vibration technology status, looked to the cable-stayed damping prospects for the development of technology and on the cable vibration applied technology research significance.This paper also explained in detail the type of vibration of the cables and various types of cable vibration mechanism, characteristics, and the occurrence conditions. In view of the wind-induced vibration, it has studied measures used in the cable vibration control technology at present, including cable dealing with the surface of the aerodynamic damping measures, the application of auxiliary cable damping measures and setting up external mechanical vibration dampers measures. These three vibration reduction measures with the advantages and disadvantages of each of the scope of its application, but generally means additional damper relatively economy, simple and effective approach, which has been widely used.This paper combines cable vibration requirements magnetic damper winding spiral and the vibration control measures. First with cable-stayed aerodynamic damping measures the theoretical analysis and cable aerodynamic measures comparative studies, it identified cable used aerodynamic damping measures methods. Secondly, and analyzed the cable - MR damper system equation and the dynamic characteristics of the critical damping ratio cable, the analytical method used to the cable-stayed bridge in the damping ratio. It obtains the antivibration plan of the cable-stayed bridge and cable-stayed bridge in MR damper vibration control systems required parameters.
