| With rapid development of national economy and power industry, system of one meter for each family has been popularized. However, work load of meter reading in power supply companies are quite heavy because of numerous and wide distribution of low voltage power users. Therefore, in order to improve efficiency and ensure electricity management automation, remote concentrated meter reading system would be a choice to solve the meter reading problem of power supply companies. This paper gave a technology application which makes concentrated meter reading of low voltage power users with low cost and high reliability come true by considering practical work needs of a branch of Chengde power supply company. This article discussed advantages and disadvantages and present situation of power line carrier communication technology, and introduced concrete implementation scheme of low voltage power line carrier concentrated meter reading system in detail. The system has been proved successful and had a high stability and reliability in practical operation.
