It is of great realistic significance to control energy consumption for production segment in thermal power plants. Taking full the influences of the main system and all auxiliary systems roundly, the present paper got the new model for calculating reheating system. The calculating models for specific internal work equation, cycle heat absorption equation and the calculation formula of dynamoelectric standard coal consumption rate were proposed, based on the new set of model. Analyzing systematically main factors which impact energy saving and consumption reduction, the paper put forward calculation model for coal consumption deviation resulted from various factors deviating from the target value. To identify energy the reasons for the loss, and distribution sites, consumption deviation for various factors of Haibowan 330 MW power plant was calculated, and the appropriate energy-saving measures were developed. What is more, it provides new theoretic base for the operation of thermal power optimization, maintenance and energy management.
