This work which aims to get preliminary study for the opposed firing boiler is based on the principles and the part of operating data by using Computer Aided Test and software FLUENT. In this paper, a 330 MW coal-fired boiler by the swirl of two different coal combustion furnace combustion process of three-dimensional numerical simulation, come with in the furnace temperature and velocity distribution. By calculating the average outer surface temperature of the fouling layer, and comparing the distortion temperature of coal ash, the contamination of the boiler water wall can be analyzed. The results illustrate that this judgment of furnace contamination is simple, feasible and can be more accurate judging slag-off position. It also has practical value to prevent slag-off, advance boiler efficiency and reduce boiler accident.
