In order to study the pyrolysis and catalytic pyrolysis of biomass, the experimental study has been done by using corn stalk as materials. Understand the basic process of change and its impact factors through TGA experiments. The results showed that with the increase of heating rate, the corresponding temperature of the highest pyolysis rate shifted to the high side, and the higher thermal heating rate the faster pyolysis, the required time to the same degree of pyrolysis to be shorter. Through the TGA curves studied pyrolysis kinetics of the corn stalk and derived kinetic parameters. The experimental study on pyrolysis of corn stalk was done in the tube furnace. Comparative study was conducted at the conditions of pure straw pyrolysis and addition catalyst (CaO, CFB slag, CFB ash) .Results showed that the catalyst could change the content of the gas components in a greater extend, increase the gas yield and increase the gas calorific value.
