This paper reviews the various large-scale transmission and transformation pollution flashover failure in Hebei Southern Power Grid, including the condition of power devices, flashover mechanism, climate and environmental characteristics in South Hebei. In order to improve the power devices ' surface resistance and withstanding flashovers performance effectively, Analysis of experimentation results on composite insulators ,RTV coating ,and composite antipulllution shed in operation, research to adjusting power system pollutant distribution map on the basis of saturated salt and dust density timely, study on relation of the atmospheric pollution and saturated salt density have been completed. And as a result, technical standard of anti-pollution flashover in Hebei Southern Power Grid has been developed.
