100% low-floor light rail vehicle (LRV) represents the most advanced technique of low-floor LRV in the word. Traction driver and its control system is one of the pivotal techniques in this area. In order to make it safe and convenient to debug the vehicle on line, it is necessary that sensors and network replace normal measuring tools. On the other hand, the technique of virtual instruments develops very quickly. And it has been one of the most important directions in modern measuring areas.In this paper, network transmission and DSP programming loading system, which combines Ethernet with field bus, is designed. And the core of the board is DSP and FPGA. Besides that, the software for debugging based on LabVIEW and VC++ is developed on the computer.The network in the paper includes RS422, CAN and Ethernet. FPGA is used for serial communicating to realize long distance programming loading for DSPs. The interfaces of CAN-bus and Ethernet extended by DSP are used to communicating between traction system and auxiliary system, traction system and the computer.The paper develops the debugging software by LabVIEW in the upper layer. It can display the data of inverter's status, alarm when faults happen. And it provides users some other functions to make it convenient to operate. Moreover, a virtual oscillograph is developed to describe the waves of inverter's parameters. Besides the describing function, it has other necessary functions which are provided by normal oscillograph. This paper combines network transmission technique with virtual instruments technique. And the processors of traction control system can be programming in long distance. The data of inverter can be real-time collected, transmitted and displayed in the upper software. Because of that, the vehicle can be debugged conveniently. Moreover, the cost is much lower.
