The main-vice arch cooperation system bridge is a new built-up system bridge which originates from the flying swallow type bridge. The vice arch is a permanent structure insteading of the temporary cable which is applied in the rotation construction of the flying swallow type bridge, that makes a progress of the rotation construction technique. And its novel-looking enriches the arch bridge style. Based on DongPing bridge, this paper investigates the properties of the new type bridge.This paper expatiates the development of arch bridges with the construction method. Then introduces the characteristic of the main-vice arch bridge and two main-vice arch bridge have been built .During the research of main-vice arch bridge, this paper choses the flying swallow type bridge as a commeasurable model. The inside force, deformation and stress under dead load and live load are analyzed .according to the result, some useful law are got.There are many design parameters that influence the structure internal force and stability of main-vice arch bridge. In this thesis, the ratio of rise to span and the stiffness ratio of arch to beam are chosen to be the research parameters which affect the structure internal force. The parameters which affect the stability are structure system, the rake angle of leaning arch, the number, the stiffness and location of transverse bracings and so on.Because of the complex link structure among the main arch, vice arch and the tied beam, the force performance of main-vice arch bridge is not clear, the efficiency of tension force and the inner force distribution between main and vice arch are analyzed at last.
