The algae propragating quickly is a great damage to drinking water quality, besides microcyst algae and the chlorella are the chief pollutant, so how to to remove the algae and the algae toxin efficiently attractes a lot of attention. In recently, the ultrafiltration turns to be the leading technology and technics because of it's less ground occupying,little pressure,less energy consume and favourable water quality.Ultrafiltration membrane (UF) with Jar-tests and pilot-scale process was used to treat the algae water with PVC hollow fiber UF as the key technology. And UF's working conditions and the algae removal effect varying from technics was investigated when dealing with algae water.The Jar-tests results showed that the removal of bacterium, algae, turbidity was remarkable, especially the bacterium and algae removal rate is close to 100%, and turbidity removal rate is 99%. In the period of Dead-end filtration, severl kinds of medicine were put into the water to make certain the best medicine combination, which is aluminium sulphate+potassium permanganate composites+power activated carbon, with 30% dropping of ultrafiltration membrane flux and a better water quality; In cross flow filtration, the best medicine combination is only using Al2(SO4)3, whose dropping of ultrafiltration membrane flux is 37.7%, and at that time the organic matter contents were all high.The pilot-scale results showed that when the raw water mixed with the coagulant and oxidant was pumped to UF, not only transmembrane pressure but also the water quality is better than the water that comes from UF filtrating the settled water. Besides, transmembrane pressure goes rapidly by directed UF; the effct using three medicine in raw water is better than the effect using either medicine by UF, The UF on-line coupling aggrandized flocculate, the increasing speed is lower than the speed which has a little long coagulant time.
