Energy conversation becomes a national policy in China. The one of the significant methods to power plants for energy conversation is to retrofit the flow passage of steam turbines.By analyzing the flow passage losses of stages, this article discusses the basic principle of flow passage retrofit, and the turbines retrofit on its advanced technology. At the same time, this article analyzed and compared some regular procedures of upgrading effects of the turbine retrofit project, especially aiming at some important steps of the 1996 edition of Performance Test Codes 6 in the America Society Mechanical Engineer(ASME PTC6-1996). Some important items about correction are put forward in this thesis, the mathematical model of correction calculation are builded. The paper has provided detail information of #7 turbine which capacity is 300MW in JianBi Power Plant on the technology the steam turbines retrofit and acceptance test. The benefits of retrofit technology are evaluated. The retrofit technology and the testing method mentioned in this thesis can be a good reference for other domestic plants in the same industry.
