The small-scale motor is one of widely used products in industry and civil life. By the year of 2004 its yield reached 7.5 billion, in which 60% motors were produced in China. With the development of the motor towards the direction of high speed and accuracy, the traditional manual balancing method can't meet the requirement any more. An automatic balancing machine with high efficiency and accuracy is urgently needed. There are abroad products, but their high prices and special requirements to the rotor don't adapt to the present situation of China. Nowadays, two-station automatic balancing machine is popularly used, which have the chief problem of low efficiency at the same time. In the view of that, the four-station automatic balancing machine is developed based on the previous two-station machine. Presently the machine has been completed and put into trial operation. Only 12 seconds is needed for per rotor, the success rate of one time cut is over 90%, which meet the design requirement. The thesis includes the following works:(1) The structure of the four-station automatic balancing machine is completedWith the consideration of the efficiency, the two-station automatic balancing machine's working process was analyzed to put forward the overall system architecture of four-station automatic balancing machine. The technical problems needed to solve were enumerated.(2) The mechanical design of the four-station automatic balancing machine is completedBased on the two-station automatic balancing machine, the four-station automatic balancing machine was designed based on the principle of function demand, flexibility of assemblage and interchange of parts. Some key components of the mechanical were analyzed, so as to ensure the sufficient strength and stiffness.(3) The control system based on the PLC, MCU and touch panel is designedThe control system uses a PLC as a chief controller and PIC MCU as assistant controllers. A touch-screen as interactive interface to set the parameters and monitor machine condition; each unit communicate with RS485 bus.(4) V-Cutting Model is designedThe V-Cutting Model was built. Parameters separation method was used to simplify the model to adapt of the industry controllers, such as PLC. the problem of the circle distribution of the V-Cutting Model was also Solved.
