In this paper, research the the fundamental question of MC nylon and products. Prepared MC nylon under adiabatic conditions through the base catalysis, activated anionic copolymer ,which were modified by potassium titanate whiskers, hollow microbead and rubber powder. Emphasized the tribological properties of MC nylon, compared untreated samples with treated samples, and testing tribological properties of samples in the dry circumstances. Through DSC analysed the heat properties of the MC nylon composite material, and through the scanning electron microscope photography to showed friction and wear mechanismThe sample prepared under adiabatic condition, and below the melting point. Joined caprolactam in the heating melt vacuum dehydration after a few minutes, lifting vacuum, and adding sodium hydroxide as catalyst and surface treatment of whiskers, continue to vacuum melt and control temperature in the 140℃, 15 min of reaction, lifting a vacuum, and rapidly adding a ratio of promoter TDI, stirring evenly, and then poured into the preheated to 170℃mold, stripped after 30 min, MC nylon composites were ready.Tested MC nylon composite material melting point by DSC, four samples have melting endothermic peak around 220℃, endothermic peak of pure MC nylon sample in 215℃, hollow beads filled sample in the 213℃, and rubber powder and potassium titanate whiskers fill MC nylon samples were 220℃, compared with the pure MC nylon increased 5℃, the rubber powder and potassium titanate whiskers are added to heat resistance of composite materials some extent.Friction and wear properties measured at room temperature, approved 200 N load, speed of the dual 200 r / min, the results show that in untreated samples, potassium titanate whisker reinforced MC nylon sample have maximum friction coefficient, and most stability, the friction tests after absorbing moisture found that the coefficient of friction decreased quickly and are hard to reach stability, but compared to rubber powder, hollow microbead reinforced and the pure MC nylon sample, potassium titanate whisker reinforced MC nylon sample relatively better than the other form of friction. Treated sample the initial coefficient of friction lower due to moisture absorption, but soon will be able to enter the friction stability phase, a treated processing makes saturated absorbent material arrived early stage, and enhance structured molecular structure, improving the material's ability to resist moisture and to stabilize the humidity on the tribological properties of materials. Potassium titanate whisker reinforced nylon sample has always maintained a high and stable friction coefficient, demonstrating their superior performance. Water treatment to a certain extent reduce the wear absorbing, but the wear of the material properties of affected by the is not significant. The addition of potassium titanate whiskers improve the performance of the material, making the wear rate of sample minimum. The main wear form of potassium titanate whisker reinforced nylon is fatigue, and pure MC nylon sample is adhesive wear.
