Maglev train is a new urban railway transportation system with the excellences of high security, high efficiency and strong climbing ability. In order to take the advantage of these excellences of maglev train, Automatic Train Control (ATC) system should be introduced. Automatic train control system can make the train running between stations under the performance of high credibility, efficiency and frequency, and it can keep the majority of the trains running under the best condition most of the time. ATC system guarantees the transportation system's reliability, security and fluency; and improves the train's comfortable and punctual. Moreover the ATC system can reduce the whole transportation system's energy assumption. In a word, the Automatic Train Control system is the maglev train railway transportation's indispensability parts.Key technologies of maglev train automatic control system were studied in this paper.Cross induction cable system of maglev train locating and speed measuring was studied and tried to make it to be engineering application, method of counting the crosstie for train locating and speed measuring was added self-diagnose and fault-tolerant function which can improve its reliability. a lot of application circuits of cross induction cable system was given in the paper, and validating experiments were completed in the NUDT's maglev train track. The results of the experiments proofed that the cross induction cable system can meet the needs of the maglev train's locating and speed measuring.Automatic Train Operation (ATO) simulation system was built in this paper, the hardware framework and software module of the simulation system was completed to a certain extent. From analyze of maglev train's force, the dynamic model of maglev train was built. Combining the Tang Shan maglev train railway, Automatic Train Protection (ATP) curve and Train Automatic Operation (ATO) curve were drawn in the paper.Core algorithm of maglev train control system was analyzed; it was appeared that the Auto-Disturbance-Rejection Control algorithm was better suit for the train's automatic operation system than the PID algorithm via comparing. Through the study and analysis of PID control algorithm and Auto-Disturbance-Rejection Control (ADRC) algorithm, it was can be conclude that the ADRC algorithm as a key algorithm is suitable for maglev train control.
