Maglev train is a new vehicle. Compared with rail vehicle, there is much difference in its brake principle and brake methods. Maglev train has strict requirement on its brake control system. The purpose of this thesis is to apply the electric-mechanical brake method. On the premise of security, maglev train should be as comfortable as possible. On the basis of electric brake system and mechanical brake system, the electric-mechanical brake control system theory is studied. The brake control system structure is analyzed and set up. Correspondingly the brake control method is put forward.Firstly, in this thesis the dynamic model of the low-speed maglev train is analyzed. On the analysis of the principle of electric brake and mechanical brake the structure of electric-mechanical brake control system is set up. The concept of brake task programming and electric-mechanical brake controller is put forward.Secondly, on the basis of the basic structure of the brake control system, the theory of brake task programming is studied and analyzed thoroughly. On the condition of automatic train protection, the fixed block system and moving block system the brake task programming method is brought forward.Thirdly, on the basis of detailed research and analysis of the electric-mechanical brake control theory, the conventional control method and adaptive control method are applied on the electric-mechanical brake system.Last, the brake control system of the low-speed maglev train which has been set up is simulated, then the simulation result is analyzed to test and compare the effect and performance of the two different control methods.In this thesis the study on the electric-mechanical brake control and the control methods of the low-speed maglev train can improve its security and comfort effectively. The result gives a foundation for the hardware design and software design of brake control system, which also makes it a practical significant issue to the commercial application of maglev train.
