With the development of the mechatronic products, the characters of products like small size, high precision, high integration challenge the assembly process. For example, the manual assembly of Micro Hard Disk Driver(Micro HDD), micro motor and digital camera in China cause the high labor price, low efficiency and low quality. In one hand, the automated assembly of those kinds of complex and precision mechatronic product is needed by the enterprise market; in the other hand, the automated assembly of those kinds of product is difficult for the character of product. For those reasons, this thesis provides an elementary research in the automated assembly of complex and precision mechatronic product.The thesis begin with a chapter that presents fundamental types of assembly, analyses the Micro HDD(Hard disk driver) and the assembly of Micro HDD, points out the key points of complex and precision product assembly based on the analyzing of requirement of Micro HDD assembly and assembly environment. Following this is a chapter that presents the mechanical design of automated assembly of Micro HDD, makes 3-2-1 six-point localization model and kinematic coupling model of the localization of HDD Base and HDD Base Tray, and analyses the position error of two kinds of localization. The subsequent chapter presents the design of control system base on the analyzing of elemental process and function of assembly machine, studies the states feedback control and the using of sensor in feeding system of assembly, builds the motion control of robot arm based on position and velocity feedback method, analyses the shock vibration by building an ADAMS-Simulink flexible mechanical simulation system.
