In the system of water supply and sanitation,coagulation technological is the one of the most universal and pivotal taches,and the effect of congulation will straightway affect the work-situation,the disposal expenses and the finally water quality of the latter cell processes.Many scholars have been researching the mechanism and technics processes of the coagulation all the while , accordingly the domains of the basic theory and technic gain the advancement.The fractal theory,as a activer offset in the non-linear maths, have gradually penetrated to the basis theory of the coagulation in water treatment and the controls of small projects.It mainly researchs the non-lubricity and non-order geometry objects in the nature and non-linear system.the properties of the flocs formed in the coagulation straightway affect the effect of the coagulation process,such as equivalent diameter,density,void ratio,floc strength,sedimentation velocity and so on.Because the exterior of flocs is highly abnormity,self- similarity,fixedness-measurement,the flocs have the typical properties of fratal.Fractal dimension is a basically diagnostic parameter,and it will become a parameter that can become a new means of choosing the medicament using in flocculation,controlling the added- quantity of medicament,distributing the energy in flocculation,it plays a important roll in technique research and control in flocculation domain.In this treatise,using an incorporate equipment designen by mysely that has the functions of coagulation,sedimentation and observation of the dynamic and timing flocs,disposal the low,middling and high turbidity water made by kaolin.By the interleaving experimentation the experiment gained the optimum coagulation work-situation;With the method of image analysis,the experiment obtained the values of the flocs of fractal dimension and sedimentation velocity in different flocculation conditions, subsequently analyzed the variational directions and reasons.After summarizing and analysing the foregoing conclusions of the structural and physical of flocs,this treatise gained the density and void ratio formularies that were fit for this coagulation experimentation;By the three-dimensional (D3,m,e) theory chart,gained the conclusion that D3 will minish with the e augmenting and will augment with the m increasing and the conclusion is consistent with the experiment result;By the data of the experiments,this treatise simulated the formulary that the floc density and equivalent diameter in the group- group flocculate phase——the fourthly and fifths phase,and the simulation had highy relativity.There are still some advancements in this treatise,such as:(1) In the flocs collection aspect, previously scholar collected flocs by some pipe,and it could make the flocs fragmentation,superpose.This equipment can avoid that lacks and can expediently observe the dynamic and timing flocs one by one.(2) In the mensuration of flocs sedimentation velocity aspect, previously scholar mensurated flocs sedimentation velocity by transfering the flocs to graduated flask. This experiment can gain flocs sedimentation velocity by reading the numerical value of the flowmeter fixed in the equipment.One side,it can avoid the flocs fragmentation in the transferring,the other side,it can gain the flocs sedimentation velocity expediently and accurately.(3) Comparing with the singleness turbidity water,this experiment treated different turbidity water.The result is consistent with theory rule,and the results from the flocculation research has more representational and more directive meaning in practice projects.
