Along with the population increase, and the industrialization and cities advancement speeding up, each kind of resources, especially the energy demand quantity large scale rise, and the economical development faces the sources problem and the energy restraint contradictory question is specially more prominent. Nearly 100% of the transformation from an energy to electrical energy relies on the electrical machinery. However, in all electrical energies consumption, the one consumed by electrical machinery accounts for 60%. Therefore, it's of extremely vital significance to enhance the electrical machinery efficiency so as to save the energy. At present, among the electric conduction motive applied, the major part is the asynchronous machine and the permanent magnetic synchronous machine. With regard to the two electric motors, the squirrel cage induction motor is more popular. According to the investigation from the American domestic situation, the average output of the squirrel cage induction motor with power above 500 hp(horse power) is about 1500 hp, and generally speaking , the efficiency is about 95%. If all the induction motors with power above 500hp are superconducting, then the energy consumption could reduce 40%, the efficiency could reach 97% to 98%, and it couldsave about 2×10~9 kilowaltt-hour per year. To achieve this goal, applying thesuperconducting technique in induction motor is of the greatest prospect and challenge. The present research on superconductivity electrical machinery focuses on superconductivity synchronous machine, which is the most popular field. But the application of high temperature superconductor in induction motor is rarely reported. Now, the Korea scholars proposed a new kind of high temperature superconductivity electric motor, which owns the advantages of normal induction motor and permanent magnetism synchronous machine and avoids theirs disadvantages. It is of impressive high efficiency and reliability.According to the new high temperature superconductivity electric motor proposed by Korea scholars, this paper presents the improvement and optimization based on ordinary three-phase squirrel cage induction motor. Applying MATLAB/SUMLINK simulation technology, based on theoretical model of three-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motor, the thought of new induction motor is simply verified by means of changing the level of rotor resistance to simulate the natures of superconductivity material. It provides some evidence for the establishment of three-dimension mathematical model of high temperature superconductivity electric motor later.Furthermore, the operation features and magnetic field characteristics of the new superconductivity electrical machine are analyzed by computer simulation, based on the Maxwell 2D finite element method of Ansoft. Based on the confirmation of the basic structure of high temperature superconductivity synchronous machine and partial and overall analysis of the motor, large amount of simulation experiments are done to verify theoretical analysis method and the feasibility of the motor structure. By use of the software simulation technique, the experiment is carried on the basis of simulating different kinds of load. Among the experiment, it analyzes the variables, such as current, voltage, rotational velocity, flux linkage and torque and so on, computes the operation efficiency, and does verification and parameters optimization.
