Servo systems are ever-increasingly utilized in many fields, including industrial controllers and household appliances. Meanwhile, higher control performance of servo products with lower cost is also a subject of great interest world widely. Digital controlled AC servo systems, using Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM) as power converters, controlled by Digital Signal Processor (DSP) with advanced control strategies, will be a trend.PI controller, fuzzy controller and fuzzy parameters adaptive PID(fuzzy-PID) controller are designed for position loop, and their advantages and disadvantages are studied respectively by simulation and experiment in this dissertation. During designing the fuzzy controller, linguistic track rule is established, and higher performance is obtained by producing scaling gains and adjusting the control rule according to linguistic track rule. According to the truth that a higher low-speed performance is required in position servo systems, Kalman filter observer is designed to achieve it. At last, kinds of Braking methods are combined effectively based on fuzzy control to improve the control performance of permanent magnetic servo systems according to the advantages and disadvantages of different methods of braking. Preferable performance is obtained by experiment. Experiment has been implemented on the hardware based on Freescale DSP56F8357 to verify the validity and practicality of the investigation.
