This task is a part of the Shanghai college science and technology fund item (No.05FZ33) and Shanghai emphases subject (No.2) construct item (No.T0601).In the field of substance reverse design and based on the actuality that domestic lack of the reverse design theory. We take Swing roller dish Cam-follower as a case to research the precise reverse design method for dish cam. Successfully gain innovation points of the theory formula and the result of value fitting. The theory and the method put forward here are proved to be precision by the compare of the result datum from reverse design and normal design. Then, we take advantage of the datum from reverse design get the program which is used to create NC milling codes for processing the dish cam contour automatically. So the precision G-code for cam contour NC milling is gained directly.To enhance the effects of cam design, reverse design as well as the cam manufacture but not to reduce the precision, this paper put forward the homologous methods based on the 3D software of Pro/Engineer after gained the above conclusions. These homologous methods include the cam-follower design and reverse design based on the software dynamic simulation and the auto-creating of NC G-codes based on the software of post processor's cutter location processing simulation. Then, we processed the dish cam by the real machine tool finally using the G-codes.For the complicated processing movement or sometimes the special machine tool, we taking advantage of the common post processor G-Post by Austin N.C. Co. which is an accessory of Pro/NC as well as its FIL macro language compiled the processing G-codes of the laser quenching accord with the technologcial conditions and realized the CAM of the cam resolved the problems of the precision and speed which the handwork can't reach. The way rised for the reverse design of swing roller dish cam-follower as well as the resolving of 3 key technologies of value fitting and the rising of 3 technologcial conditions of the cam contour surface laser quenching are the innovations in this paper.We take advantage of the onefold software platform to realize the whole course of product producing from the design the reverse design and the manufacture which testified that it is high precision and high efficiency as well as high flexible of the whole course based on CAD/CAM/CAE integration software platform. So researching of this paper not only has the theory meaning for the cam reverse design and its manufacture but also has the well practicality for the production of the similarity product.In the end we made views for the farther works in the future and put forward a series of contents and ways for the deeper research based on this paper.
