Research On Tectonics Of Contemporary High-tech Architectural Skin

Originated from the modern architecture, The High-tech Architecture established its own pioneer status in the world with a few sensational representative works, after the initial declaration of the campaign. Its independent, unique style has triggered heated debate and criticism. At the end of the 20th century to the early 21st century, the situation has undergone great changes. The first such change was from the suspect of the original view of the supremacy of technology. Once advertised "beauty of machine" and "beauty of technology", High-tech architecture has been questioned and opposed due to the lack of humanity and other reasons.With the coming of information revolution, science and technology came back to humanism. Contemporary High-Tech architects began to examine their architectural concepts, after making full use of technology theory. They interpreted their new concept of architecture in light of the new conditions of technology and the understanding of aesthetics. And they tried to correct the flaws of early high-tech. The exploration of contemporary high technology architecture primarily reflected in three aspects of ecology, regional and sensible.Similarly, as technology continues to develop, people's understanding of the skin is deepening. After the Modern movement, the skin architecture was gradually liberated and became an independent concept. The two characteristics of its spirit and performance attribute to make it one of the important strategies of contemporary architects. And as a representative of the advancement of science and technology, the high technology architecture is no exception. The skin tectonics has become an important method of contemporary High-tech Architecture. It was used in practice extensively and achieved spectacular results.Based on the study and analysis of the High-Tech architecture and the development of architectural theory of evolution skin, from the perspective of High-Tech architecture skin, this paper focuses on the analysis of typical cases of the contemporary high-tech architecture. Combined with the typical cases of contemporary skin-tectonics, this paper summed up with the basic characteristics and methods of contemporary high-tech tectonics. The paper explains the transaction from the early impudent, arrogant morphology to rationality in contemporary skin-tectonics. This phenomenon is called "regression to skin rationality" in this paper.
