In the fault diagnosis of electric equipments, there are many messages, including vibration, temperature, pressure, noise, distortion and so on,which can be detected and diagnosed. Vibration signal contains plenty of state messages of equipments and vibration signal can reflect the running state of machine most rapidly and most directly among these messages. And mechanical efficiency's change can also reflect the running state of machine. Therefore, the author tries to diagnose the fault for the vibration of feed pump from the view of efficiency and vibration by the application of thermodynamic method and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation separately, and combine the two methods to diagnose the fault .which is the core and main fruit of this thesis.This thesis presents briefly thermodynamic method which used to compute the efficiency of feed pump and the characteristic of feed pump's vibration, analyzing the fault mechanism and premonition for the various typical faults of the rotation machine in detail and puts forward the computation model of the vague fault diagnosis of the feed pump by the research of the fault diagnosis analysis technique and fuzzy mathematics. After confirming the diagnostic flow for the diagnosis of the feed pump, a spot instance is brought forward in the thesis. The result of diagnosis is consistent with the result of on-site inspection, which confirms the feasibility of the method.The application of fuzzy fault diagnosis solves the problem in which diagnosis for feed pump must take long time to find the fault part and the cause and it improves the veracity and celerity of the diagnosis. With the development of research of fuzzy fault diagnosis and expert system, the dependability of the fault diagnosis for the vibration of the feed pump will be improved continuously.
