With the development of network attack technology, attack behaviors present the characteristic of indetermination, complexity and multiplicity. Coordinated attacks refer to such organized attacks that the attackers use coordinated and multiple means to attack the target, its hazard is much larger and it becomes more difficult to defend. The research on modeling and simulation of coordinated attacks is of great importance to the analysis of its impact and the defense against coordinated attacks.DDoS attacks is the typical kind of coordinated network attacks, modeling and simulation of DDoS attacks based on Multi-Agent was researched. First, the mechanism and characteristic of coordinated attacks and DDoS attacks was analyzed; then the common methods of attack modeling and simulation was discussed, Multi-Agent-based modeling technology along with the advantage of its appliance to modeling of DDoS attacks was analyzed according to the characteristic of DDoS attacks; Multi-Agent-based DDoS attack model was designed from the aspect of the physics model, the behaviors model and the interaction model, the component and knowledgebase of the agent was designed,an approach to describe and plan attack bahaviors was presented,the coordination and communication mechanism of the MADAM model was designed; last, the prototype of DDoS attack simulation system was implemented under the framework of HLA, which validated the model of DDoS attack based on Multi-Agent.
