With the economic and social development in Jiading District of Shanghai, the demand for water is increasing greatly, the raw water drawed from the Changjiang River has arrived utmost amount for Anting town. In some emergencies, such as raw water pollution or pipe damage, the Anting water plant could not satisfy the water requirement, so the Wusong River is proposed as the raw water of Anting water plant. Wusong River stands on the upper of the Suzhou River, the ammonia,organic matter in the water are out of standard, it belongs to the slightly polluted water.Tongji University and Jiading water supply company cooperate to research on treatment for Wusong river raw water,it uses three precesses: 1,Pre-ozone-BAC(Biofilter here refers to is that the original filter sand will be transformed into part of the layer of activated carbon filter); 2,Treatment by all biochemistry(Biological pre-oxidation); 3,Adsorption pretreatment (plough PAC).In the end compare the three precesses,then look for the best one. Carried out using pre-ozone-BAC process on treatment different combinations of water which from the Changjiang Water and Wusong Jiang ; Finally, done the techno-economic analysis for three precesses, and estimated the cost of producing water.Synthetically, we can analysis in the effect: Pre-ozone-BAC technology is the best process to decrease CODMn, the average ratio of decreasing are 28 percent and 35 percent for pole A and B,it isstable,always it keep above 70 percent, Biological pre-oxidation only have 7.6 percent in average ratio of decreasing CODMn,but it is better to decrease ammonia, the average ratio of decreasing is 84.14 percent, Pre-ozone-BAC process is superior to the biological pre-oxidation in general, the adsorption pretreatment (PAC) is the worst process, it is only useful for color and odour,and the ratio of decreasing CODMn and ammonia are below 15 percent and 10 percent; we also analysis in the techno-economic:the two techniques have similar economic costs in total investment of 2.3 million without inciuding costs for operation and management (such as eletricity cost,etc), if the product water is 60,000 tons a day,the water system cost about 0.007 yuan / ton.The biological pre-oxidation must supply land, operation and management are complex too, Pre-ozone-BAC technology is suit for the many large and medium-sized waterworks actual situation in China, it easily to transform,so it worthy to popularize.
