Voltage stability analysis is one of the important subjects in modern power system research, which greatly extends the connotation of power system stability .In recent years, with economic developing rapidly, power load increases fast, the connection of the electric network becomes more and more closely.Power is transmitted to each other among big electric power system. The research on voltage stability has practiced significance for the safety and stability of electric network. This paper concentrates on the static voltage stability. The definition and classification of voltage stability are summarized, and the common calculation methods of static voltages stability are generalized. More attention to Saddle Node Bifurcation (SNB) point, margin of static voltage stability and weakest buses and crucial generators of electric power system are paid, and effects of some influencing factors are deeply analyzed.Based on these, a mathematical model considering factors, such as the effects of the style of generation distribution based on generation bidding, static load model with polynomial expression of exponential form and Static Var Compensator (SVC), on SNB point of power system is established.A locally parameterized continuation power flow method to trace and analyze the SNB point is employed, which the influence of generation distribution, static load model and SVC are considered. At the base case and point of SNB gained by this method, modal analysis is performed to identify the weakest buses and crucial generators of power system. The presented approach is studied on IEEE-30 bus testing system, the result indicates that the steady voltage stability can be improved when the three factors are involved.Comparing with results without considering these influences,it demonstrates the necessity when performing voltage stability analysis.
