In recent years, Chinese domestic automotive market enlarged dramatically. The production of family car increases in high speed. Intelligent Lighting Control System become popular with so many features: for example: cold-monitoring and warm-monitoring to detect open load and short circuit of the lamps; prevent controller from over-load and over-temperature; using PWM control to avoid effect of voltage vibration.The Intelligent Lighting Control System has self-diagnosis and protection ability. It can fulfill following functions: auto-replace damaged lamp, double frequency of remain indicate lights once one of them fail. These technology enhanced safety of car body and represent the trends of car body control development.We design this system according to customer's request for Rover 75 model body control system. We had finished prototype, now in test in end customer. Will finish test in the car in q3 this year.At first, a basic introduction to the situation of lighting control system for domestic and abroad was presented. In the second, system frame and innovation of it is described in brief. In Chapter 2, this article introduced IC selection in order to meet car manufacturer's requirement including MCU and power device. The detailed hardware design descriptions and control strategies are covered in Chapter 3.In Chapter 4, this article introduced self-diagnosis software. Finally the detailed experimental results are analyzed and the conclusion of this work and recommendations for future work is presented.
