With rapid socio-economic development, intelligent buildings have been become the main platform of the information collection and exchange. Currently, many owners of intelligent buildings focus on the function, hardware and the scale of construction, but they may neglect the management, application development and estate management.Considering the entire intelligent building as one object, the author has analyzed various risks that the intelligent building would face from the below six phases: infrastructure of the buildings, physical links, data communications, equipment management, application system, and operation management. Meanwhile, relevant security solution for these risks has been provided, and of course, the solution has fully embodied the kinds of security feature for current status of intelligent buildings. After analyzing risks of security management and relevant solutions, a key point -- why we need security management in intelligent buildings– has been raised: that is for reducing risks and ensuring the system working properly; and a risking coefficient formula of intelligent buildings has been created. An intelligent building is combined with several subsystems. In order to find frameworks for the security management of the intelligent building, the common security issues and solutions in subsystems have been analyzed and summarized, and ten points of these common issues have been concluded. For better analyzing risks, the LEC risk assessment has been adopted in this paper, it's easy to be applied in quantitative analysis and comparing the danger of various risks. Based on the analysis, the security management architectures, policy and priority have been defined, and the final solution of security management has been established. It provides the scientific foundation to the security manage regulation.
