| Large scale girder construction is typically of adopting mass special equipment, much high-altitude operation and complex construction environment etc. therefore, lots of security and safety risk factors exist in the construction process. For the beam and girders are normally heavy, long and stubborn; in case of accidents, it will lead to very serious consequences and losses. The frequent occurrence of bridge-erecting machine falls, keeling over, workers’high-altitude falling and other serious accidents in recent years had brought very severe economic losses and casualties. Thus it is quite necessary to study how to apply risk management methods and techniques to reduce the occurrence of girder construction accidents and the casualties and losses.In this paper, Hanyi Intercity railway girder construction was taken as an example. Based on relevant literature of risk management theory and a variety of security incidents Investigation reports, the theory and methods of risk recognition, appraisal and countermeasures is comprehensively utilized to estimate and anticipate the possible security risks from the aspects of staff, mechanical equipment, construction environment, security management, etc., which may lead to security accidents in the girder construction process. Apart from the initial list method, expert investigation method, risk surveys method and other methods to fully understand the unsafe status of the various security factors, surveys and interviews with several very experienced project manager and experts in the domain of girder construction projects were conducted. According to the experts’ suggestions, a final security risk list was refined from the initial risk list.Meanwhile, the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) is also introduced in the project risk management. Taking girder construction safety risks as the target layer, the stuff, equipment, construction environment and risk management as the criterion level, the18aspects in project risk management as the factor layer, the weights sorted by size at criterion level and factor level is obtained by calculating their judgment matrix and eigenvector’s consistency test; according to the security risk assessment model, by the complete assessment of the security status of girder construction, the security risk level of the girder construction is worked out. In the end, some reasonable and practical risk response and risk monitoring measures were proposed as per the various countermeasures which are adopted in Han Yi railway girder construction project.The risk list from the risk identification and the project security risk level from the risk assessment are good reference for the project security risk management staff; by providing practical and reasonable countermeasures, the risk management efficiency is increased while the occurrence of security accidents is decreased in the project. |
