| The density of petroleum and petrochemicals is one of the importantphysical-chemistry qualities; to measure it accurately is a important thing with realisticmeanings. With the development of science and technology, traditional measurementmethods have already been difficult to fit for the present measurement. The paper aims atthe problems of service station, analyses the advantages and disadvantages of somemethods for the density of oil measurement, and designs a new-type ultrasonicinstrument.In the last few years, ultrasonic technology is widely used. The paper put forward anew technology for the density of oil measurement——measureing the whole and the excess time of ultrasonic spreading respectively, and the methods compensates the disadvantages of measuring time differences and measuring phasic changes, improves the precision of measurement greatly. There are no relevant reports in the world about it.The paper researchs the implementation way of the new technology. According to the request of on-line measurement device design, has proposed the plan of the density instrument,and has finished the hardware and software design that the instrument need.The instrument adopts the structure that collectes the dada by SCM and processes the data by PC. Has analysed the influence of density of oil and spreading time of ultrasonic with temperature in detail. In the part of data processes, we adopt the inserting value of Newton that can improve the accuracy of result greatly, and utilize the database as the strong support of the inserting value of Newton in the software. With the dynamic increase of data quantity in practical application, the range of the inserting value will be shorter and the line relation will be better. The result of measurement will be more precise. We make experiments with the instrument, have gathered a large amount of data and analysed the relation of the data. We can draw a conclusion that the instrument can be meet the need of on-line measurement with its high precision, cheap price, good ability of antiknock, quick response, and easy to use. |
