Ecological Landscape Design In Renew Of Inshore Old Town

Based on particular investigation and analysis of Shapowei lee and circumjacent districts where lie in old town of Xiamen in some aspects, such as ecology, culture, society and so on, this research paper intends to do some conceptional designs of Ecological landscape renew. According to principles of ecology, society and fine arts, these exploring designs put emphasis on the ecological systems of water, soil, humanism, sea and continent in landscape, thereby, to advance the ecological service value, economical value, cultural value and social value of the inshore old town. By analysing design projects, this thesis discusses about methods of ecological renew of districts between sea and continent, and brings forward significance and essentiality of respecting and protecting ecological systems in modern landscape design. Meanwhile, I try to summarize some effective methods of landscape design to solve a great deal of problems brought by wasteland in old towns.
