With the fast development of automotive design technology, safe demand of people to automobile is more and more. The automobile seat is one important part of the components which affect automobile safe. But in our country, the research in the field of passive safe is not enough.Major objective of the seat design lies in the mass which ensures strength, stiffness and comfort performance. And then the mass is reduced. At present common problem of domestic seat is that the component coordination is relatively poor. Design method sometimes reinforces the part, which increases the seat mass heavier and heavier. But some components ought to been reduced thickness, to subtracted interior material or to changed the structure forms, because of there being no the clear and definite criterion, it can not be decided, so the new structure form is not easy to come into being. The calculation carrying out the seat structure strength's works is highly significant in order to satisfy the structure strength and stiffness and reduce the mass. Besides development for the new product accelerating enterprise and function and technology content for raising a product further, we have to calculate the strength and stiffness of seat and improve structures. We may provide a method for new model seat research.Just under this background, using theory of topology optimization, the structural safety, the factors influence impact and static performance and structural improvement are deeply studied in this paper, which are combining with projects that the automobile seat finite element simulation of some changing generation vehicle made in China. That makes the structure rational .Finally the paper is divided into five chapters:In chapter one. Significance of automobile seat reduction has been discussed detailedly. Research method and current situation about passive safe of automobile seat in both abroad and home have been analysed. Seat shortcoming and deficiency in the homeland have been pointed out. Main job content and research significance have been introduced.In chapter two. Shell element ,beam element characteristic property and fundamental curved lamina theory have been introduced. CAD model gained was leaded in HyperMesh and meshed .Mesh qualify was checked according to the standard demands. It makes sure they are eligible 20 times gravity and 373 Nm are exerted on seat. Stress contour can be gained. The stress contour has provided condition to optimization next step.In chapter three. By the constraint to the seat back, each strain of seat distributing condition have been ascertained ,which provides a reference for the structural optimization. Thereby each component and part dimension can be made. Make sure the range inner being in progress two kinds under working condition respectively in 20 times gravity and 373 Nm simulating, being permitted by completely from each component strain calculating result after being able to perceive an optimization in safety after the dimension.In chapter four, First the key technology of FEM, the explicit non-linear theory of finite element and the function of PAM-CRASH software are introduced, then predigesting principle and process are introduced, Finally the FEM model on base of impact characteristic is completed .The model is simulated according to the law. The result of simulation is satisfied.Chapter five is the summarization of the paper, study contents and results are mainly represented, as well as the study prospect from now on.
