Aimed at the low bearing capacity of ordinary prestressed concrete tube pile in soft soil, this paper suggests a new model tube pile (called ribbed and sand-filled pile), which can improve vertical bearing capacity of single pile by simple construction handicraft. The pile model is simple to manufacture and convenient to construct, which brings fine economic effect.Firstly, this paper introduces the general condition, manufacturing method and constructing handicraft of the ribbed and sand-filled pile;Secondly, combining two real projects using this new model pile, the method and process of site test including load test and axial force test are introduced, and the data of the test are counted and analyzed. Some conclusions are made;Moreover, the paper analyzes load transfer process and settlement mechanism of the ribbed and sand-filled pile and establishes the load-settlement calculating model based on hyperbola load transfer function. Some calculations are made according to parameter from pile-test, and the results are compared with that of the real project.Finally, the bearing capacity of ribbed and sand-filled pile is analyzed. The curve of static load, contrast of the hammer blows, calculation of load transfer all prove that the bearing capability of the ribbed and sand-filled pile is much higher than that of ordinary tube pile. The formula for calculation of bearing capability is obtained which gives reference to the future design application of real project.
