In the river ports, bridges, high-rise building, offshore drilling platform structure, retaining construction, and anti-seismic engineering, piles must withstand a vertical axial load and from the side of the wind, wave force, earth pressure and seismic force of the horizontal load. Concrete filled steel tube pile has advantages of concrete filled steel tube structures and the steel tube pile. In the pile foundation engineering has great prospects for development. This article describes the development of concrete filled steel tube piles and its application, and research status at home and abroad and problems in a concise set out to do. In this paper, concrete filled steel tube piles bearing capacity carried out experiments and theoretical analysis.In the theoretical analysis, load transfer and failure modes of concrete filled steel tube pile were analyzed. Suggest the bearing capacity expression of concrete filled steel tube piles.In the experimental analysis, force transmission characteristics, pile-side damage pattern, the role of the double tube of the concrete filled double steel tube pile foot was analyzed. The mechanical performance of the shape of the tube end, outer tube pile highlight the length was analyzed. The results showed that the double tube structure can effectively improve bearing capacity, making a higher carrying capacity of concrete filled steel tube piles than the single-tube concrete piles. Deformation capacity was also improved. Bearing capacity of concrete filled steel tube pile changed with the outer tube lengths. The pile can obtain a complete occlusion effect and a larger carrying capacity at the bottom with a outer tube length of about 0.5D. Bearing capacity was improved with the overlap length being D and outer tube angle being 45°.Finite element software ANSYS was used to analyze the foot of concrete filled double steel tube pile. Numerical simulation was on the same model experimental parameters and different models parameters to the experimental. The results showed that bearing capacity of concrete filled double steel tube pile was connected to the outer tube length and shape of the tube end, the pile get the highest bearing capacity when the length of outer tube being D and outer tube being 45°angle. The results coincide with the experimental result. The results have a certain reference value to the design and construction.
