In recent years, the Beam String Structures (BSS) is a new important form of space structures with successful applications in many large projects. Presently, the researchs about seismic analysis and design of BSS are not enough, and this thesis will do careful discussion and study on multi-dimensional seismic response, analysis and design of such structures.Firstly, according to the basic principle of the Pseudo Excitation Method, the program about seismic response of BSS was compiled. By this program, the multi-dimensional seismic response analysis of dual-direction BSS was analysed. In camparision of the single dimensional and multi-dimentional seismic response, the influence of each direction earthquake on BSS was investigated. At the same time, effects of rise-span ratio, sag-span ratio and the load on the dual-direction BSS were analysed briefly. The key point of this thesis was the multi-dimensional seismic response analysis of single and dual direction BSS with cooperation of substructure by the Pseudo Excitation Method, compared with the compounding method. And each dimentional seismic response on such two kinds of BSS were calculated and compared, in order to review the influence of each dimentional earthquake. Moreover, the role of substructure was investigated by camparision of the multi-dimensional seismic response about two different kinds of dual direction BSS, that whether be working with substructure. Finally, affects of different substructure and the value of damper were discussed simply.Based on these studies, it's known that there are great differences between single-dimention and multi-dimention in the seismic response of BSS, especially in the aspect of internal force. And, the results by the compounding method cann't cover mutil-dimensional seismic response of BSS totally, especially in the field of dual-direction BSS's beam bending. Most of all, cooperation with substructure needs to be considered in designing because of having great effect on seismic response of BSS.
