The latticed structure is one of the most widely used spatial structures. At present, there are three general acts in the seismic design of the latticed structure. Firstly, the interaction of the substructure is ignored, or the substructure is replaced by the spring support. Secondly, only is the effect of single-dimension considered in the load cases combination. In other words, the vertical earthquake and the horizontal earthquake are combined separately in the load cases combination. Lastly even the seismic responses of the vertical earthquake and the horizontal earthquake are considered , they are only computed in accordance with the formulas in the Code for Seismic Design of Buildings (GB50011-2001,JGJ-91,JGJ61-2003). According to these three points, the feature of the multi-dimensional seismic response, the methods how to analyze and design the latticed structure were investigated and studied in this thesis.Firstly, based on the principle of the Pseudo Excitation Method, the program about seismic response was compiled. By this program, the multi-dimensional seismic response analysis of latticed structures considering interaction with substructure was analyzed, and the differences between the multi-dimensional analysis and the single-dimensional analysis was compared, then the rule of the contributions from the seismic components was summarized. Furthermore, this thesis compared the result between the latticed structures considering interaction with substructure and the structures without considering the interaction, and also the effect of the changes in the substructure on the multi-dimensional seismic response was analyzed. Moreover, the combination formula of the multi-dimensional seismic response of latticed structures was studied in this thesis.The main research results of this thesis were: 1. the interaction with substructure should be considered and the computation should be based on the whole model in the seismic response analysis of latticed structures; 2. the multi-dimensional seismic response of latticed structures is the result of each component earthquake. If only considering the vertical earthquake or the horizontal earthquake, the error could not be ignored. 3. During the combination of the multi-dimensional seismic response, the response of each component earthquake should not be reduced, they should be considered coequally. The result of the displacement and the force by the SRSS method can meet the requirements of the engineering design.
