The road embankment constructed with high liquid limit soil is inclined to collapse, have settlement or non-uniform settlement because of the high dampness, low strength and high compressibility of this type of soil. At the same time, it is difficult to road embankment construction due to the bad weather in the construction site. Therefore, it's necessary to do in-depth research about high liquid limit soil for safe and efficient use of the resource. And, thereby the stability and deformation of the road embankment filled with this type of soil can eventually controlled in this way.Now the research work about high liquid limit soil used in is still not very satisfying in the world. There is much work should be done about the research. Such that the research about the management and special construction technique of road embankment filled with high liquid limit soil will not only advance engineering quality with lesser engineering cost but also use the natural resource more adequately which can reduce the overexploitation disruption for the environment. The research work possesses huge economic and social benefit.This paper has the subsidize form the project"The research about the roadbed construction technique in complex geologic site"of the Chongqing traffic research committee. With the actual situation of the road filled with high liquid limit soil in Shizhong highway, this paper specially has analyzed the physical mechanics and structural property of the high liquid limit soil, and do some research work about the construction technique of the special type of road embankment. First of all, high liquid limit soil improvement and the quality and applicability of the reclamation embankment have been researched; then after the high liquid limit soil embankment programmed design, high liquid limit soil embankment structure design, two areas of high liquid limit soil embankment construction technology research carried out and FLAC numerical simulation and geotechnical centrifuge test means were used from different angles to validate the design project and further analysis of the settlement of the high liquid soil embankment own on the initial filling stages and deformation under adverse conditions, base on the analysis of the verification process, the paper further explores the laws and characteristics about the embankment deformation and treatment programmers are revised; Finally, combining the high liquid limit soil embankment construction technology research production, this paper aggregates and analysises the special construction methods, construction machinery and process technology to high liquid limit soil embankment.
