Based on the major projects"The research on the failure of straight-wide pile framework wharf characteristics of huge water-head overhead inland river"supported by the natural science foundation of Chongqing. It was performed to study on the failure mode and the force transmission in straight-wide pile framework wharf characteristics of huge water-head overhead inland river by numerical analysis.The elastic-plastic analysis and dynamic analysis are adopted in calculation straight-wide pile framework wharf characteristics of huge water-head overhead inland river when using plane rigid-frame model and space rigid-frame model respectively. In this paper, the major research is as follows:1 The elasticity,elastoplastic or limit horizontal bearing capacity of plane or space firm frame on the impact load is obtained by the way of statical elastoplastic. The bearing capacity is different as the calculation model is changed. And elastic-plastic time history analysis of plane frame is different from static analysis because of initial load and contact time.2 By the way of non-linear analysis, the precedence order of crosssection plastic hinge buildup is got and the pressure characteristics of transmission and destroy procedure is clear. The structural weak link is in the bottom lateralbraces. When the majority lateralbraces of first bank of plane or space bent frame present plastic deformation, the structure evolutes from rigid-frame to bolted structure. At that time, the structure stiffness is suddenly low. The third lateralbrace is not destructive until the load is applied to the structure continuously in order that the concrete is destroyed and presents the bearing capacity.3 The major impact of influencing allocation of clash load in the straight-wide pile framework wharf is discussed. By the method of FEM,the space firm frame structure, the structure of missing longitudinal rigidity and missing front-panel are discussed. Compared the distribution coefficient of three models in the bank frame on the clash load to commend cost of discipline, the longitudinal rigidity is thought to influence the transmission on the clash load in the wharf design.Besides, there are some conclusion, which provide evidence for some project practice.
