And then it makes a summary of many traditional and modern load forecasting technologies, especially, introduces the application of ANN in electric power system short-term load forecasting. genetic algorithm is used to choose a more reasonable frame of ANN. different forecasting models have been established respectively, including workday model, weekend model. Under the market environment an influence factor -price is also considered as an input factor, which can make estimate more reasonable. The thesis regards the power grid of Wuhai as the target of forecasting; apply the grouping genetic algorithm neural network to carry on the short-term load forecasting. The forecasting results show that the mode using for short-term load forecasting by genetic algorithm neural network is comparatively satisfied and can satisfy the request of actual production.
