According to the unbalanced distribution feature of energy resources and load and the developmental trend of electric economy, the UHV power grid construction is required. The corona on lines can generate radio interference and other environment pollution,also energy loss. Therefore, annlysising on the electronics corona loss of the different structure transmission line have the important economic efficiency and the social efficiency. According to the 1000 kV UHV AC demonstration project, the text investigates three conductor constructions with different divided patterns and different diameters (cross section area 630mm2, 500mm2 and 400mm2).Based the multiple image method and finite element method, the line parameters and no load current of the testing line are calculated, the equivalent circuit is built up. By matlab, the average maximum electric field strength on single phase surface are calculated; by Maxwell, conductor models are built up, the distribution of electric field strength on the three phases surface are got. With the experiment condition of Wuhan High Voltage Research Institute, corona loss on UHV testing transmission line under good weather and heave rain are analyzed, verifying the rationality of the conductor choosing.
