Thorough research about nowadays theorems and calculating methods of deep foundation pit bracing, pointed out problems and shortcomings about present methods, developed finite layer method, figured out a newtheorem--divided-strip method. Under generalfundamental assumes, a new mechanics model of bracing structure was built up and calculating methods of bracing structure was also erected. Theoretical parameters were defined and became more practical. In order to reduce calculating work, computer programs were also listed. Theorems and practices both verified that, among all methods on solving pile structure under horizontal loads, divided strip finite layer method have more virtues. The results can be obtained very easily with less data and calculating accuracy can be also controlled. This method affected the bracing engineering greatly and was suitable for engineering under complex geological conditions.
