| Flashover of power transmission line insulator has become the second most accident in power system. To perform the real-time monitor of insulator is a crucial task for the safety of electric power system. This paper discusses the general monitor methods of insulator discharge at home and abroad, and uses a new long distance monitoring method for the UHF Electromagnetic Waves accompanying with discharge pulse current of insulator flashover, and designed the axial mode helix antenna array for monitoring insulator. The paper have studied the software and hardware system for monitoring and locating method for power transmission line discharging insulators, for taking the real time monitor into reality for pollution flashover of power line insulators. |
