Saline-alkaline soil is part of important land resources in China and keeps a large proportion, the area is increasing year by year for natural and human factors. Vegetation ecosystem becomes fragile and worsening, so it is concerned by the national and even worldwide to gain the best economic benefits, social benefits and ecological benefits in reasonable development and utilization ways of these soils. The relevant theoretical researchs on saline-alkaline are mainly to inland saline-alkali rather than coastal saline-alkali at present, very great differences are between their forming reasons and control measures, so it is not reasonable to control them in the same way. This is a very hard and big task for the green space landscape construction on coastal saline-alkali soil. This article gives a detailed description on the ecological construction of coastal saline-alkali soil taking Tianjin Binhai New Area for example. The paper has discussed the ecological construction methods of the green space landscape on basis of related literatures, successful cases and field survey results. It has not only enriched the theory and practical technology for ecological construction and landscape in Tianjin Binhai New Area, but also has a roll in the guidance for the environment construction in bigger range of coastal saline-alkali soil.Firstly, the article analyzed the definition, classification, research status at home and abroad of the key words"Saline-alkaline soil"and"halophyte", and proposed research significance and thinking on this basis. Secondly, this paper summarized three main limiting factors that influences the development of the green space landscape construction—"plants""soil"and "water"through analyzing the natural conditions , economic conditions, social conditions and greening situation of Tianjin Binhai New Area, and also the dominant factors—national policy guide, economic support, superior geographical location and abundant land resource. And then, in order to construct regional characteristics landscape, starting from emphatically analyzed with the plant material, the paper proposed six design principles, four vision scales, concreted approach for diversity space construction, more with the field survey about the wild plant resource, all of the above provided fundamental guarantee for the construction of characteristic landscape. At last, landscape-ecology theory of "plaque"—"corridor"—"matrix"combined with the solve intention of the other two limiting factors—"soil" and "water", the ecological analysis and design with the green landscape were took out. This thesis is mainly to large-scale park landscape, road and river landscape, farmland landscape, and summarized several ecological designing methods, such as "creating wetland-type park with local conditions", " modifing Saline-alkaline soil in original site", " using artificial soil which made by waste material as greening soil", "making the rainwater for cycle utilization", " farmland landscape merging into urban green space".
