The high-speed maglev train which levitates form track by magnetic force and moves by linear motors is a new way for modern transport technology. The Operation Control System (OCS) is a significant part of High-speed Maglev System. It is a safety critical computer-controlled system that implements the functions of train operation commanding and safety protection. Safety computer is the central technology with high reliability and security by using multi-processing units to shield or correct a single unit's error. Thus, it can protect critical equipment such as Switch and safety operation such as Vehicle Control radically.At present, the safety computer technology is still monopolized by few developed countries and the domestic research is in original state. Traditional safety computer is a dedicated computer. Its hardware and software is made to order for single system and user. Thus, reliability,security could not be validated in practice and compatibility,versatility is poor. Aiming at this faultiness, the OCS and its function requirement of safety computer based on the application of the Germany high-speed maglev was analyzed. A distributed system frame was proposed. The hardware and basic software were developed. Then the 2 out of 3 safety computer platform was established and the system was debugged.The research is focused on the followings:Firstly, the high-speed maglev OCS was studied. Its subsystems and their basic function,reliability,security requirement of safety computer was analyzed. Reliability and security were computed.Secondly, a distributed structure of safety computer was given based on function requirement and faultiness of traditional safety computer. Function hierarchy and subaltern systems base on reliability and security requirement were designed in detail.Thirdly, the frame of hardware system and its unattached function circuit units were designed. The main control computer that with abundant communication interfaces based on the advanced processor PowerPC and interrelated switch I/O block circuit with fault-safe characteristic were developed.Fourthly, software function was decomposed. BSP that focused on initializers and drivers based on embedded Real Time Operation System VxWorks was developed.At last, the distributed 2 out of 3 safety computer's platform was built up. A reference of synchronization and vote was proposed. Testing scheme and codes were given. Then the system was debugged.
