The effect of the high-temperature storage conditions, alloy powder, electrolyte and insualting paper on performance of the nickel-hydrogen batter were studied in this article. In this first chapter -introduction, the main statement is the nickel-hydrogen battery at present domestic and international developments, main component nickel-hydrogen batteries and matierial development of battery components, effect of components on the electrochemical properties of the battery. In chapter II, it has been studied that voltage and internal resistance of the nickel hydrogen battery (take quantity of electric charge to be 100%) change with the storage-time in high temperature 60 degree of storage environment. Result is indicated, in high temperature 60 degree of storage environment, the voltage of nickel hydrogen battery increases by with reserving time's but comes down. Within the 20 day, the voltage of battery comes down from 1.34V to 1.0V following. It is illuminated that the self-discharging speed of battery that reserves under the hot environment greater than homoiothermy environment. The internal resistance of battery increases by with reserving time's. 15 days later, the internal resistance of battery is increased assuming the straight line uptrend nearly and is exceed 50 mΩ.In chapter III, it has been studied that different alloys powder and electrolyte amounts affect to the discharging capacities , internal resistance , over charge performance and heavy current (4A) discharging performance of the nickel hydrogen battery. Experimental result show that the impact of cobalt contents of alloy over internal resistance is not big. 1 C discharging capacities of cobalt contents 6.0% of alloys powder is higher than 5.5% , but the over-charge performance and the heavy current (4A) discharging performance are lower than 5.5%. 1C discharging capacities, internal resistance , over-charge performance and the heavy current (4A) discharging performance of the nickel hydrogen battery are Increasing by with electrolyte amounts'. Only electrolyte amounts have highly, that the over-charge performance is able to come down.In chapter IV, it has been studied that the different electrolyte formula affect to self-discharge properties of the nickel-metal hydride batteries in earlier, later period. At the same time, we studied the capacity-keeping rate of the battery with different electrolyte formula at different temperatures. The results showed that the capacity-keeping rate of the nickel-metal hydride battery has upward trend with the increase of the proportion of NaOH, and the capacity-keeping rate in the earlier period is higher than the later period. In the low temperature conditions, it is negative to capacity-keeping rate with the increase of the proportion of NaOH, that is greater self-discharge. In the high-temperature conditions, it is active to capacity-keeping rate with the increase of the proportion of NaOH, that is smaller self-discharge.In chapter V, It has been studied the different insulating paper influence to the nickel hydrogen battery earlier period, the later period and the IEC self-discharging property. The experimental result indicated that the different insulating paper has the very tremendous influence to the nickel hydrogen battery earlier period, the last stage, the IEC self-discharging property; Adding the small dry or wet insulating paper on the electrodes group has very big improvement to the battery earlier period, the last stage, the IEC self-discharging property.
