Nowadays, it is highly attended to car driving security; the request about car driving security continually heightens. Car security system has been one important part of car research and development. Acceleration Slip Regulation, shorter form ASR, is one kind of equipment used for active security. According to the state of car, it enables the car driving wheel get the best vertical force in bad condition road. In the driving course, especially during the course of underway, accelerated, swerve, it prevents driving wheel from excess slipping. It can keep direction stability, turning control ability, and accelerated ability.ASR control methods mainly include brake control and engine output control. Taking account into advantage and disadvantage of different control method, also the cost factor, the paper combines brake control and engine output control. According to different situation of car running, design how to combine brake control and engine output control in order to get better control result.ASR control arithmetic includes logic gate limit value, PID control, fuzzy control, slide mode variable structure control. Paper analyzes advantage and disadvantage of different control arithmetic in ASR application system, design slide mode variable structure control system, especially in controller.The paper wholly analyzes ASR system. It discusses and analyzes key technology and difficulties of ASR system. It mainly analyzes the structure of software system and the design of hardware circuit. Especially compared to different control arithmetic, combined with modern control theory, it designs ASR control system through sliding mode control. In the platform of MATLAB, do ASR simulation basic on sliding mode control. Through setting different initial condition and different roads situation, it verifies control result of ASR system. In next step, it puts forward to a improved control structure, optimize control system in order to fit for actual different road situation and different car condition.
