| The slope, formed naturally or man-made, is one of the most basic geological conditions for human engineering activities, and also the common form of road construction projects. The highway construction in China involves a large number of the slope problems. The main damage forms of a slope happened naturally or by human's activities are landslides, collapse, landslide and spalling crack. Therefore, how to better understand the nature of the slope, make a reasonably design and bring it under scientific control to reduce the damage caused by the slope to the minimum level will be one of most important problems facing to the engineers and technicians in the road construction.In most cases, the slope instability is caused jointly by variety of factors. Generally speaking, the factors causing the slope instability fall into two main categories: one is the break down of original equilibrium stress state in the slope under the external force and the other is the gradual decrease in shear strength in the slope until it reaches to critical value under the external influence.At present, in connection with the research of influence factors on the slope stability coefficient, the main issues include the consideration of calculation method, the water table level, the geotechnical parameters, the overloading on the top of slope, the slope height and the ratio of slope etc. All of these are considered separately which will lead to two major problems: First, it's difficult to make scientific judgment in time or accurately when dealing with the sensibility of the slope stability factor for some complicate slopes; Secondly, since there only consider the unilateral factor's influence on the slope at preliminary stage, it is hard in short time to draw up a comprehensive, prompt and effective treatment measures for slope happened in the construction of highway.Based on a large amount of relevant information and combined closely with the concrete instance of slope instability and deformation occurred at the highway from Changsha to Zhuzhou in Hunan, the thesis conducts a related study from both the calculation method and the geotechnical parameters under the situation in which a change in height and slope of the groundwater level takes place simultaneously, in the hope to find out some regulars about the influence of multi-factor changes on the slope stability. Further more, we also consider the influence of the change in multi-factor on the slope instability at the highway from Changsha to Zhuzhou, in order to draw up measures to the treatment of soil slope. At the same time, we make settlement observation after the slope has been treated and conduct an analysis on both the settlement regular in the slope and the treatment effect. We also further conduct an optimization counter-analysis. The thesis also carries out a preliminary analysis on its economic effects for the treated slope case at the highway from Changsha to Zhuzhou and discusses the economic benefits of the treatment works. |
